Afghan Peace Council Seeks Guantanamo Visit - War On Terror News: "22 February 2011 VOA News Afghanistan's High Peace Council says it wants to send a delegation to the U.S. military detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to discuss the possible release of Taliban detainees as part of reconciliation talks with the militant group.

Arsala Rahmani, head of the council's committee on prisoners, said Tuesday that the delegation would call for the release of several prisoners, including Khairullah Khairkhwa, a former Taliban government minister and governor who has been detained since 2002."
