Latin American Herald Tribune - IS Jihadists Raid Internet Cafes in Northeastern Syria: During the raids, the militants detained two people and took them to an unknown place. They also checked the contents of mobile phones that were found in cafes in the city.

In August, the IS imposed censorship on all information sent from the areas under their control in the region.

They also forced activists operating there to swear allegiance to the jihadist’s proclaimed caliphate in Syria and Iraq, which they declared in late June.
