Only consolation in Sandra Bland decision: Trooper not off the hook yet | | Dallas Morning News: Based on everything we know right now about that traffic stop, I still maintain that Bland wound up in that Waller County jail cell simply because she was driving while black.

Will the grand jury come to the conclusion that Encinia, who remains on desk duty, did anything wrong? I’m not confident it will. With this latest grand jury development coming at the same time that the headlines are filled with Ethan “Affluenza” Couch’s great escape, it’s hard not to make comparisons.

Yes, Couch was a minor when he drunkenly mowed down four people, but because his parents had deep pockets, he got off with nary a consequence. And, now, money is allowing him to run again.
