Cubanos honran a José Martí por aniversario de su natalicio - En el encuentro desarrollado en Ciego de Avila, distante unos 430 kilómetros al este de La Habana, los intelectuales resaltaron los valores y principios del Maestro y su vocación latinoamericana e internacionalista.
Magali Álvarez, secretaria del Sindicato de Trabajadores de la Cultura en el territorio, resaltó la proyección universal del Héroe Nacional de Cuba, quien rebasó las fronteras de la época en que vivió para convertirse en el más grande pensador.
En el conversatorio se destacaron pasajes de la obra literaria de Martí y se hizo alusión al contenido de las cartas que recibía de su madre Leonor Pérez.
