iafrica.com | 'Worse than Polokwane': "The ANC's 2012 conference will be 'worse than Polokwane' as tension between the party and its alliance partners continues, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The newspaper reported that according to a diplomatic cable published on Wikileaks, ANC treasurer general Mathews Phosa told US ambassador Donald Gips on 17 December 2009 that he was worried about 'continuing tension' between the ANC and its alliance partners.

The conversation took place amidst a bitter dispute between senior members of the ANC led alliance."
