Naam Tamilar party activist hacked to death in Pudukottai | TruthDive: "Chennai, Feb 17 (TruthDive): Cold blooded killings are nothing new to Tamil Nadu. Latest in this series is the killing of Muthukumar – a social worker and activist from Pudhukottai district. Muthukumar was hacked by unknown gangsters when he was riding his bike on Anna Road in Pudukottai around 10 pm. Muthukumar died on the spot. Muthukumar was a senior member of ”Naam Tamilar” - a new political party headed by activist and movie director Seeman.

Muthukumar is known to have worked towards sending medicines and first aid supplies to Sri Lanka during the final days of the Eelam War to help the Tamil civilians trapped in the war zone. He was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police and later released for his actions related to this."
