State funeral for Sylvia Scott

Koori Mail - Breaking News: "A STATE funeral will be held in Sydney on Monday for Aboriginal Elder Sylvia Scott. A Wiradjeri woman, Aunty Sylvia grew up in Cowra but spent more than 30 years living in Redfern. She dedicated much of her life to children and education, and often performed Welcome to Country ceremonies as a representative of the Gadigal nation. Her funeral will be held at St Mary’s Cathedral, College Street, Sydney, from 2.30pm."
