Let's be Honest - Salem-News.Com: (PASO ROBLES, Calif.) - Pro-life Evangelicals, Catholics and the Republican Party teach uninformed people the opposite of what is in their best interest. - There is nothing in the Constitution that requires the government to bow to the wishes of a particular religion. It simply requires that reputable religions be respected by all people. For Republicans in general or its candidates in particular to say otherwise is to play upon Catholic and Evangelical emotions to defeat and replace a sitting President. It is deceitful and a disgrace to all who subscribe to such nonsense.

No man, and that includes those of faith, can speak for God whose manner is inscrutable and impossible to interpret. God is what we are taught to believe is true, but no man is the true voice of God. Evangelists attribute Natural Disasters to the will of Jesus of what they have decided is what they prefer to believe. It is they, not God, who wants to bend our will to theirs for the power it gives them. Nature is the true voice of God to which all who are able should listen intently.
