PressTV - 'US experiences militarization of police': A noteworthy online columnist says the US has militarized its police force which is increasing its crackdown on peaceful Occupy demonstrators and civilians. On Thursday, New York City police officers chased and shot dead 18-year-old Ramarley Graham, an unarmed black male, while fleeing to his grandmother’s house. Experts say the shooting can be linked to the NYPD’s aggressive street policing program called ‘stop and frisk’ which critics say targets low-income minority neighborhoods. Press TV has conducted an interview with online columnist Allen Roland to further discuss the issue. The following is a rough transcript of the interview.
