Toronto News: Residential school deaths: Coroners office probes disappearance of native kids in church care - thestar.com: The provincial coroner's office has identified 120 First Nations children who apparently vanished or died while attending Ontario residential schools and the number is expected to go higher.

“As painful as it is, it is vital for families to know the truth about what happened to their children, and under what circumstances they died,” Andrew McCallum, the chief coroner for Ontario, said on Friday at a gathering in Toronto of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
