Prensa Latina News Agency - Australians Back Assange, His Mother Says in Ecuador: Quito, 2 ago (PL) Cristhine Assange, mother of the founder of Wikileaks, said here that his son has now the support of the Australian people, but the government of his country is U.S. lapdog.

Those statements emerged in the context of a visit to Ecuador as part her efforts to highlight the risk his son has to take of being extradited to the United States, even of being sentenced to death penalty for revealing compromising cables for Washington.
