Mandryk: Harper's inquiry remarks frivolous: [leaderpost.com] What exactly inspired Harper's flippant pronouncement last week - one that seemed particularly callous in the wake of the brutal death of 15-year-old Manitoban Tina Fontaine, thrown in a sack into a river like an unwanted kitten - is unclear. One would hope it would be have been inspired by more than a knee-jerk conservative resistance to the term "societal cause".
