Timeline Photos - Witness to Innocence | Facebook: Not #deathpenalty (but almost) story, but nice article on Darryl Hunt of #NorthCarolina, who spent nearly 19yrs. in prison for a rape & murder he didn't commit & released b/c of DNA. 11 out of 12 jurors wanted to execute him - one juror spared him that fate. He now works to prevent this injustice from happening to others. Hunt: "I could never understand why the courts turned me down. Now I’ve been out and working with the system on the local level and the national level, I get it. It’s political. Most people believe it’s about justice. It’s not. It’s the political will of someone who wants to be in power.” http://tinyurl.com/pcjkde3 (pic of Darryl upon hearing his acquittal in court)
