PressTV - EU’s Mogherini urges probe into Palestinian minister’s killing: “Reports of excessive use of force by Israeli Security Forces are extremely worrying: I call for an immediate, independent investigation into...Abu Ein's death,” she said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Mogherini, who took office on November 1 as the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security, visited the occupied Palestinian territories shortly afterward as “a signal of the priority given to the region by the EU.”

She has time and again censured the Israeli regime's plans to construct new illegal settler units on the Palestinian land.

Abu Ein, who was a minister in the Palestinian Authority, lost his life as he participated in a march by some 300 Palestinians who planned to plant olive trees as a symbolic act of protest against Israeli settlements.
