American doctor’s journey … from New York to Deir ez-Zor | ANHA // FERHAD FRASHIN DEIR EZ-ZOR – An American doctor from New York city who is now on the battlefields of al-Jazeera Tempest, and he provide the medical treatment within the medical staff of rapid intervention, so he has his own role in a revolution that he sees as an answer to the contradictions he lives in. The American fighter and doctor Kawa Zafezestan has come to Rojava from New York to take a place in the struggle and play the role of a fighter and a doctor at the same time in the battle of al-Jazeera Tempest to liberate Deir ez-Zor countryside east Syria. Our agency met Kawa Zafezestan and discussed with him about the reasons for his coming to Rojava and his participation in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign. The doctor Kawa was very happy for his participation in the campaign. “In 2014, when I was a student at the university, I met a Kurdish young man and we became two companions later, he told me lot of details about Rojava Revolution and its importance until I have been aware of information about Rojava Revolution that People Protection Units (YPG) and Women Protection Units (YPJ) are leading it.” he said.
