Tribal leader repeats vow to fight Arizona-Mexico border wall: [ktar.com] “I will do everything I can to oppose this wall,” Tohono O’odham Nation Vice Chairman Verlon Jose said during an interview with The Guardian. “I have to. That’s what I’m here for. I will oppose it.”
Jose, whose tribe has moved between southwestern Arizona and Mexico for decades, said the wall would cut his community and its way of life in half.
“I would feel very sad,” he said. “I can’t see my homeland, no matter which side I stepped on.
