Press statement from the Internationalist Commune of #Rojava

ROAR Magazine: The list of cities is long: from Sydney, Moscow, Helsinki, Stockholm, London, Berlin and Munich, to Los Angeles and New York. In all these cities demonstrations, rallies, film screenings and talks were organized in the past few days. The Internationalist Commune of Rojava had called for the global days of action to defend the revolution in Rojava, northeastern Syria. Many organizations and individuals joined the call and actions took place in nearly two dozen countries. The biggest demonstration took place in London, last Sunday in front of the BBC offices at Portland Place. In New York, feminist icon Gloria Steiner spoke at another solidarity demo, urging “each one of us…to alert everyone to this very, very, very crucial struggle…in support of the Kurdish people and…their pluralist, multi-ethnic society” with its emphasis on women’s rights and democracy.
