Conservation Wipes out the Indigenous Globally, Says Campaign | News | teleSUR English: With the slogan “Stop the Con,” Survival International hopes to fight what they see as the globalization of the U.S. model of conservation that “decrease biodiversity, encourages destructive development projects, and results in mounting human rights abuses.”

The organization says that the idea that conservation protects the environment has historically been an excuse used since U.S. colonialism to displace Native peoples from their lands and is currently used in other places around the world for similar purposes.
