Exit polls - separatists may win Catalonia vote - RT� News: Separatist parties are expected to win control of Catalonia's parliament with opinion polls showing the main secessionist group Junts Pel Si (Together for Yes) and leftist party CUP securing a majority of seats in the 135-strong regional assembly.

The result could set the region on course for a unilateral declaration of independence from Spain, which the Spanish centre-right government of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy says is impossible.

But Mr Mas said that if the Yes vote wins, they would have to negotiate with Catalonian authorities.
