Police Raids Peruvian University, Arrests Dozens Students: Lima, Apr 6 (Prensa Latina) Hundreds of police officers preceded by armored cars stormed the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, Peru's largest, and arrested approximately 50 students who had taken it over yesterday.
The police penetrated the wide San Marcos campus through all its gates with the protection of armored cars to forced doors and obstacles the occupants, who raise academic claims, had placed to prevent the eviction.
